The scent isn't overwhelming, but keep in mind I have like ZERO (and I really mean ZERO) tolerance for non-herbal fragrances in my skincare and I really wish everything smelled like Sulwhasoo stuff. Wish it was more on the herbal rather than flowery side, ugh ugh ugh. I'll update if I see the pore shrinkage that I've heard that Sekkisei stuff does (though note I've only heard of that result for the medicated version, which I did not buy).įragrance: 1/5. However, it does not make my dry, typically flakey skin flakey. I haven't observed any texture improvements really so far. It even made my cystic acne on my chin look less purple/red. IOPE, Missha, Primera, Kiku and those big Japanese bottles, you name it. It cuts redness like nothing else I have in my collection, and I have used a ton, and I mean a TON of fermented FTEs. I was seeing effects by the first day, I can't wait until two months later. This does not disappoint, I look at least one shade lighter and my skin looks pretty clear. I brought this mainly because I wanted to even out my skin tone and look like Asian vampire Snow White. Holy wow, they were not kidding when they say that Sekkisei is great for whitening skin and making it look translucent. And I have very minimal flakeys after using this on its own, which is sort of crazy.īrightening Effects: 5/5. My skin is typically very sensitive to alcohols and I usually avoid them like the plague due to its drying effects. I'm guessing it might contain less alcohol compared to the other versions. But then again, I brought the Enriched (not the Asia-only medicated version, not the regular, not the excellent) version, which is supposedly more moisturizing. It's not as drying as I thought it would be, considering how I have desert lizard flakey skin and live in a really dry environment and alcohol is at the top of the ingredients list. I'm guessing it's because this is supposed to be a toner and I'm using it on its own so far to isolate its benefits for the purposes of this review. Minus one point because there is no chok chok moisture feel after using this, unlike most FTEs. Absorbs like a dream, gone in like thirty seconds. It's very watery and a bit milky in color. It looks super classy and feminine and so great on my table.įunction: 4/5. But I added a point for the absolutely beautiful watercolor sakura on the bottle. The bottle is plastic, not glass as I would have thought it to be. It's very much like Kikumasamune, I think, just a little less spritz-all-over-the-place. It's really hard to control how much comes out, oddly enough. I brought the 500mL Sakura limited edition bottle that comes with the pump, and the pump is really not great. So I've been using Sekkisei Enriched Lotion for about over a week, using 2-3 skins of it every day and no other products to gauge what effects that it works on its own, and here are my first impressions so far: If you have any suggestions or things to add, please message the mods!
